Privacy Policy

Retly (“the App”, “we”, “us”) helps you save and organize receipts, warranties and invoices. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how it is used, and your choices. We built Retly to be a private “proof memory” — your documents stay on your device and, if you enable it, in your own private Apple iCloud.

Information you provide

The receipts, invoices, warranties, photos, PDFs, amounts, dates, tags and notes you add. If you sign in with Apple, your name and email (you may use Apple’s Hide My Email). Guest mode requires no account.

Where your data is stored

Your documents and images are stored locally on your device. If iCloud sync is enabled, they sync to your personal, private iCloud account managed by Apple — we cannot access that content. We do not operate servers that store your receipts.

AI features (Plus)

When you use AI extraction, the receipt image or its recognized text is sent to our processing service (OpenAI) solely to extract structured fields (merchant, date, total, tax, invoice number, etc.). This data is processed to provide the feature and is not used to train models. AI features are optional; without them, processing stays on your device.

Payments

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Notifications

With your permission, we schedule local reminders (warranty expiry, return windows, tax season) on your device. These are handled by iOS and can be turned off anytime.

Third parties

Apple (iCloud, Sign in with Apple, App Store payments) and OpenAI (AI extraction, only when you use it). We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Your rights

You can view, edit, export and delete your documents at any time. You can delete your account and all associated data in Settings ▸ Account ▸ Delete account. Depending on your region (e.g. EU/UK GDPR, Turkey KVKK), you may have rights to access, correct, or erase your data.

Children

Retly is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
